Dr. Meredith Allum
DVM
Dr. Meredith Allum is a compassionate veterinarian who feels deeply honoured to care for pets and support the people who love them. She understands that veterinary visits—especially in emergency situations—can be stressful, and she strives to create a calm, supportive environment while guiding families through their pet’s care with clarity and empathy.
With experience across many areas of veterinary medicine, Dr. Allum has developed interests in emergency medicine, ultrasound imaging, and endoscopy. She is passionate about continuous learning and is always seeking opportunities to expand her knowledge and skills so she can provide the highest level of care when it matters most.
Prior to joining Burlington Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital in early 2025, Dr. Allum practiced in Oakville and Guelph.
Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Allum values giving back to the veterinary community. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Toronto Academy of Veterinary Medicine (2014–2018) and the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association (2017–2020).
Outside of work, Dr. Allum enjoys traveling the world, attending concerts, and spending quality time with friends and family—experiences that help her stay grounded and bring balance to her life.
