Jacob Maxwell
DVM
Jacob comes from Manitoulin Island, where he grew up surrounded by pets, wildlife, and farm animals alike. Jacob graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in June of 2025. He has a special interest in animal behaviour and feline medicine; he spent his first year as a vet in feline-only practice. Jacob has built an interest in managing emergent and complex cases, bringing him to his role as an ER doctor at Burlington Veterinary Emergency & Referral Hospital.
Outside of work, Jacob enjoys running, music, and time by the waterfront. Jacob lives with his boisterous kitty Jimbo and long-time pet turtle Feisty.
